NAE Federal Credit Union was established in 1965. Palmer Stillman, our President and CEO, began the Credit Union from his shirt pocket at the Norfolk Ford Plant, to help Norfolk Assembly Employees with their financial needs. Since then we have grown from a single branch on Palmer and Katy Stillman's sun porch to a $100 million credit union with three branches serving all residents of Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Franklin. Our five year plan calls for five more branch locations in the next five years, strategically placed to best serve our current and potential members.

Because NAE is a non-profit organization, all profits above and beyond expenses are put back into the Credit Union. When you become a member of the Credit Union, you become an owner with the ability to help decide the direction of the Credit Union. Here at NAE, we can offer our members discounted loan rates, increased dividend rates and many free services (i.e. no cost checking accounts, Privilege Pay) that the “big banks” charge you for. Our sincere desire is to help you, the member, with your continuing financial success.
