You can purchase American Express Travelers Cheques at any of our Branch Locations or any Credit Union Service Center. Travelers Cheques offer a safe alternative to carrying cash with the ability to replace your money if the cheques are lost or stolen. The fee for purchasing Traveler's Cheques is 1% of the purchased amount.
Travelers Cheques can be used like cash at many retail locations inside and outside of the United States, and can be replaced quickly if they are lost or stolen. Although available in U.S. Dollars and in foreign currencies, such as Euro, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, and Japanese Yen, the Credit Union only carries U.S Dollar cheques.
When you purchase Travelers Cheques record the serial number for each check and keep the list separate from your checks. Cross out serial numbers as you use the checks. If you lose any of your cheques contact American Express with these numbers and they will replace your lost cheques.
